MEET SHEILA
Bringing Experience to Public Service
As a candidate for Republican House Representative District 28, I am dedicated to working for the betterment of our community. This is my first time seeking public office, but I have dedicated my life to service within this community. I am a long-time resident of Pittsboro; my husband Paul & I raised four children that graduated from Tri-West. We have five grandchildren that have been our greatest joy. I have a background in health care and recently retired from IU Health after 42 years in nursing. I continue to practice as a nurse practitioner at the Gennesaret Free Clinic for low- income families. I also stay active in our community by volunteering with the Hendricks County Medical Reserve Corp, the Indiana Guard Reserve, and Hendricks County Republican Women.
My strong Christian faith is fundamental to my life, and I have been an active member of St. Malachy Church in Brownsburg. I have been involved in many ministries and continue to serve as Haiti Ministry Chairperson. I have worked to provide education, medical care and clean water to our parish twinning program in the community of Port Margot Haiti. I am committed to advocating for policies that benefit our community and championing the voices of the people in district 28 and Indiana. This campaign is driven by a passion for progress and a deep understanding of the challenges our district faces. I am focused on delivering real solutions and creating opportunities for every individual to thrive.

About Me
My hometown growing up was Kenney Illinois, it is a small farm town just east of Springfield in the "Land of Lincoln". In grade school a common class trip was to visit the Lincoln Tomb Historic site which always involved rubbing Abe's nose. As a teenager, walking beans & detasseling corn was a common summer job. I went to Clinton High School and enjoyed cheerleading, girls' basketball, debate team and student council. I always wanted to be a nurse and was blessed to go to Bradley University in Peoria for college. One week after graduation, I got married to Paul and we lived in Kansas for his job. After 6 years, I was happy to move to Indiana for work, and we have lived in Hendricks County ever since. Pittsboro is our home and I love that it is a small, rural committee. It has been a great place to live, work and to raise our four children.
